About Me
I am a writer and teacher based in Melbourne, Australia, with three published books, the most recent being The State of the Rivers and Streams. The two other collections are The Colour of Maps and Lost Things & Other Poems. I have been widely published in a variety of journals and magazines and gratefully acknowledge those editors for their support. You can see a list of acknowledgments here.
My poetry often centres around landscape and the natural world, particularly the coastal zone and the rivers and streams. I’ve lived on the Mornington Peninsula south of Melbourne for many years and the Port Phillip Bay and Western Port Bay seascapes appear often in my work. This site chronicles some of my writing, my reading and my thinking about writing, as well as some poetry ‘projects’ I’m interested in. I blog regularly on all those as well.
